About Maharashtra Ration Card 2022
To facilitate the services of the Ration card in a digital manner, the State Government of Maharashtra has launched this project. The project of RC comes under the Department of Food, Civil Services, and Consumer Protection, and the AePDS -Aadhar enabled Public Distribution System. These two authorities of Maharashtra maintained the whole system of Public Distribution, so there will be no problem faced by the citizens.
PDS- Public Distribution System: The system of PDS has been established by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public distribution. The main work of PDS is to distribute the food grains among the people who possess the Ration card. The PDS department also establishes their distribution centers across India which are known as Fair Price Shop.
In Maharashtra, the PDS has another name called AePDS (Aadhar enabled Public Distribution System)., which sees the whole distribution of the commodities in the state and also update the Ration card online portal to increase the transparency among the people.

Types of Maharashtra Ration Cards
There are three types of ration card, which was introduced by the government of Maharashtra. All the three color-coded Ration card of Maharashtra is described in the below section:
I. Yellow Ration Card
The Yellow Ration Card is for those Maharashtra citizens, who belong to the Below the Poverty Line category (BPL). With the help of this Ration card, the unprivileged people can get the commodities from the FPS. People will get the food grains at the lowest price decided by the government Authority.
II. Saffron Ration Card
The Saffron ration card is given to those families, whose salary ranges from 15000 INR to 1 lac. With this card, they get goods at a cheap price.
III. White Ration Card
White color Ration card is given to those families who belong to the Above Poverty Line category (APL).

Apply for Maharashtra Ration Card

The process to download the application form is given below, go through the process, and download the Ration card Application form:
(i) Open the official web portal of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department,
(ii) On the home page, find the Download option, which is mention on the left side of the page,
(iii) After click on the Download option, on the next page, you will get the option for ration card application form, Unit enhancement form, modification in RC, etc.

- Once you open the official web portal, you will see the option of Online fair Price Shops, on the right side of the page.
- After click on the option, it will redirect you to the another page, in which you have to select the Aepds- All Districts option,
- tap to the A-epds option, the official portal of the AePDs Maharashtra, will open on your screen,
- On that page, you need to choose the RC Details option,
- The RC detail page will open on the screen, in which you have to fill the Month, Year, and the SRC No.
- Then after click to the submit option, on the click the details of the Beneficiary will come on the screen.
How to link the Aadhaar Card to Ration Card
According to the government norm, it is mandatory for each family to link the Aadhaar card with your family Ration card. To link the Ration card from the Aadhaar, you can either use an offline method or the online method. Both the method is elaborated in the below block, so it will be easy for you to link the Aadhaar card with the ration card.
To link the Ration Card with your Aadhaar card on the offline process, the candidate must visit the PDS offices or any government authorized Ration Shop/ FPS nearest one to your house. For linking the Aadhaar card, you must carry the Aadhaar card, along with you, and also carry the rest of the other required documents.
Now you have to submit the document to the Officer. The officer of the concerned authority verified all the documents, and after getting confirmation, he will move forward with the process, i.e. biometric authentication process.
On the successful authentication, the OTP will come on the candidate’s registered mobile no. Confirm that OTP, and after that, your Aadhaar card will be linked to your Aadhaar card.
In the Online process of Linking, the candidate opens the official site of the A-ePDS. And then click on the UIDAI. After that, the candidate must provide the details of the Ration Card and the Aadhaar card. Once you feed all these details, enter the registered Mobile No. and click on the continue option, and proceed to the next step. You will get the OTP, on your registered mobile no. When the OTP gets verified, the Aadhaar card will be linked to the ration card.
How to File Maharashtra RC Complaint

- Open the official site of the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Department of Maharashtra,
- The site homepage will open on your screen, in which you need to click on the “Online Grievance Redressal System“, mention under the Online service option,
- The next page will open on your screen, now click to the report it option,
- The grievance form, will appear on your screen, fill the form, by entering all the required details,

You can check the online status of the Complaint by using the official web portal, of the Maharashtra State Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Protection Dept. Select the “Online Grievance Redressal System“, on the home page, form the section of Online services.
On the next page click on the Check Complaint Status option, on the track status form, you have to enter the complaint No. and the registered mobile no. After filling in the details, click on the Submit option. The status of your complaint will be displayed on your screen.
